Tasha Hubbard is coming! Tasha Hubbard will be coming to Winnipeg and doing a public talk on September 27th 2007. In anticipation of this public discussion, Winnipeg Copwatch and the Manitoba Aboriginal Justice Equality Coalition(MAJEC) will be hosting a film screening of Two Worlds Colliding, the film that Tasha directed documenting Saskatoon’s infamous starlight tours. This workshop was organized by Winnipeg Copwatch with research and bookwork done by Pro Bono Students Canada. This event was attended by over 60 community members and we came to learn how the law is written vaguely in order to give police more discretion.

Winnipeg Copwatch organized two events in June/07 to raise funds for equipment and supplies.
